Amely is an orphan who lives in the local orphanage and is reared partially by Adine.

Amely is the daughter of Remy, his late fiance Amelia, and Anna. Technically, she was conceived by Remy and Amelia, and Anna's genetic parenthood was introduced through genetic modification of Amely to include Anna's DNA. This means that she is technically a genetic chimera of both a True Dragon and a Runner.
Anna created Amely from Amelia's corpse in an attempt to create a dragon whose cells could combat cancer, in hopes of discovering a cure for herself. However, controversy emerged regarding her proposal, and Anna was forced to abandon the egg on a doorstep to dispose of the evidence. She wrote the name "Amely" on the eggshell — naming the child after Amelia.
Eventually, Amely's egg was found and she was brought to the orphanage, where she would live most of her life.
